We learned how to make an origami balloons, birds, and cat. Mrs. Michels came to help us,too and we used Jonah's grandma's origami paper.- Isabel
We learned how to count and write the symbols for the Japanese. We made a counting book and drew paper lanterns, fans, chopsticks for some of the numbers.- Dexter
We flew back from Japan and watched the movie, Taro.- Julian
We brought home our Japan bags with all of our projects and souvenir bag.- Tatiana
We wrote down four of our favorite memories of Japan. I liked playing the chopstick game.- Hersh
In Daily 5, we were able to practice reading using Raz-Kids on the netbooks, and we had the listening center to listen to books on CD.- Khaila

We had Japan Rotations. In Mrs. Ptak's room we painted Mr. Fuji. In Mrs. Oemichen's room we did origami. In Mrs. Bernacchi's Room we wrote a class haiku.- Sonia
We played the snowman game. We rolled dice and followed the instructions to create a snowman. The one who finished first won. Hersh won.- Libby
We wrote a poem about our goals for 2013.- Jonah
We had an assembly about eating healthy and the appropriate sizes. We talked about making healthy choices when eating.- Emma
We had a yummy treat and watched a holiday movie for our winter party.- Ethan
